B&B / Guest House Description
Bedroom One:
Bedroom one has a king-size bed; it has it's own little sitting room with the refreshment facilities. The bathroom has a bath in addtion to a walk-in-shower, There are views of the garden, the lake and the fells.
Bedroom Two:
Bedroom two has a double bed, the en-suite has shower, washbasin, WC and bidet. There are views over the garden to the lake.
Bedroom Three.
Bedroom three is called the family room, but is more usually used by couples, There is a king-sized bed, a full-size single bed with the option of providing a second single bed. This room is often used by people requiring separate beds. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over.
Views of the garden and woodland, glimpses of the lake from this room.
The Residents Lounge:
Residents Lounge, (or Snug) has been re-vamped in 2005. There is a log-burning stove for chillier evenings, and comfortable seating. The grandfarther clock dating back to the late 1700's was made locally by Dan Bellman of Broughton.
The Dining Room:
Another Dan Bellman grandfather clock!
Patio doors lead out to an enclosed area with potted plants and shrubs.
There is an excellent view of the birds feeding at the bird table!
A wide choice of breakfasts is served here, which include healthy options (eg Fresh Fruit and Yoghurt) ranging through to our now famous "Hearty Cumbrian" breakfast of bacon, sausage, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, blackpudding, beans and fried bread.
