We are ideally situated within easy walking distance of the modern City Centre and historic Barbican. Here you will find the Mayflower Steps which mark the spot from where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail to found New England. The recently extended National Marine Aquarium boats the deepest tank in Europe and is also situated on the Barbican along with art galleries, antique and gift shops.
The pedestrianised City Centre is the largest in the region and is a joy with its floral displays and water features. Not only will you find the widest range of national chains, but also many independent, specialist outlets and a large Pannier Market. Be sure to visit the newly opened Drake Circus Shopping Centre - a £200 million indoor mall.
Plymouth Pavilions and The Theatre Royal are approximately 10 minutes walk away. Brittany Ferries Terminal, with regular sailings to France and Spain, is close by. The busy Naval dockyard and H.M.S. Raleigh are a short ride away.
The former R.A.F. base at Mount Batten is now open to the public and is just a five minute trip by water taxi from The Barbican. Once there, you are free to explore a stunning coastal footpath, breakwater promenade, marina and C17 tower.
The beautiful Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park is easily accessible via the Cremyll Ferry. Situated just across the river and overlooking Plymouth Sound, the park has formal gardens, temples, follies and woodlands around the Tudor house.
The world famous Eden Centre is just a one hour drive from Plymouth.

Directions
BY CAR from Exeter leave the A38 slip road signed 'Plymouth' and 'City Centre'. After a few miles follow signs for 'Hoe and Seafront'. This one way road will bring you along the sea front roughly at sea level. The sea is on your left and the grass slopes of Plymouth Hoe on your right.
You will drive past Smeaton's Tower, the red and white lighthouse standing on top of The Hoe. At the next mini roundabout take the third exit into Pier Street. We are the first house on your left.
PLYMOUTH AIRPORT is about 6 miles away.
RAILWAY STATION is a 5 minute taxi ride away.
COACH STATION is a 5 minute taxi ride away.

All rooms have colour televisions, hairdryers, complimentary biscuits, tea and coffee. All our bedrooms are en suite including two on the ground floor. We also have a luxury king size four poster en suite bedroom.
We are in an excellent position adjoining the seafront and Hoe.
The whole house has been tastefully modernised to very high standards while retaining many original features and with the comfort of the guest in mind and benefits from full central heating and double glazing.
We have private parking. Additional street parking is plentiful and free of charge from 4p.m. until 10a.m.

Our generous English breakfast has been described as 'the best' and typically consists of fruit juice
buffet style choice of cereals, fruit and yoghurts freshly cooked egg, bacon, sausage, tomato, mushrooms, hash brown and baked beans, unlimited toast with a varied selection of spreads and preserves plus bottomless tea and coffee.
You may prefer a lighter breakfast of scrambled or boiled eggs - or any combination of the above.
We are happy to cater for vegetarians or special diets and also have decaffeinated tea/coffee as well as Earl Grey, fruit and herbal teas.
