The seven luxurious bedrooms in the hotel have each been individually decorated with choice of single, large twin rooms, three superior king size doubles and four poster for a romantic getaway in Dorset. One room is large enough for a family of 3 with a cot available for young children.

Each room is equipped with en-suite shower or bath, direct dial telephone, small refrigerator with mineral water, tea and coffee making facilities, home made biscuits, remote control TV with digi box and broadband internet access. The superior bedrooms have flat panel TVs, sofas and laptops with internet access.

Local Attractions

Shaftesbury offers visitors picturesque views and is very welcoming. It's one of the oldest and highest towns in England with historical buildings and the famous Gold Hill from the Hovis bread ads with cobbled street and traditional cottages.

Sailsbury has 'Britain's Best View' and the medieval city includes Cathedral with England's tallest spire, museums, historic houses and variety of shops. There are cafes, pubs, the best preserved Magna Carta and Europe's oldest working clock.

Kingston Lacy is a 17th Century house which has been in the Banke's family for over 300 years. It's home to a large quantity of paintings and works of art and famous for the Spanish Room with walls hung in gilded leather.

Stourhead has classic temples including the Pantheon and Temple of Apollo around the central lake with mature woodland and exotic trees. Inside there is the Regency library, picture collection and Chippendale the Younger furniture. From King Alfred's Tower there are picturesque views over the estate.

Bath is a historic city welcoming visitors for over 2000 years. A World Heritage Site, there is stunning architecture including Roman Baths, Pump Room, the Royal Crescent, Pulteney Bridge and the circus.

The Dorset coast is under 1 hour way perfect for walkers with many coastal paths. There is easy access to Bournemouth and Weymouth with plenty of shopping opportunities.

Longleat is ideal for all the family with 900 acres of 'Capability' Brown landscaped parkland and 8000 acres woodlands, farmland and lakes. Longleat is one of the best examples of high Elizabethan architecture and one of the most impressive stately homes open to the public.

Glastonbury is a town with a history and rich in traditions. Formerly a megalithic centre, the medieval abbey is a famous pilgrimage place. There are 9000 living there today and home to a rock festival, conferences and many events. Mythic tales claim the Tor which overlooks Glastonbury is home to Gwyn as Nudd, the king of the fairies.
