As you will see below, the nearest McDonald's is 40 miles away. However, there are at least seven restaurants that we recommend, as well as Indian and Chinese, within a 20-minute drive. Advance booking is essential at busy times. Fish and chips can be delivered to your door. As you will see above, there is a tea room, cafe and pub in the village.
Shopping:
Please do not expect Asda, Sainsbury, Tesco, Waitrose or M & S to be just round the corner. The village shop, post office, cafe and pub are about 300 metres from your door, with the gallery and tearoom a little further. Within 5 minutes' drive or train journey, there are several more, owner-operated shops. If you want greater choice, there are small supermarkets such as Co-op Pioneer, Somerfields and Spar within 20 minutes.
If you would like fresh organic bread, cakes, cookies, or main meals and desserts from the freezer, organic fruit and vegetables, apple juice, peppermint tea, marmalade, jam and chutney, these are all produced at Pentre Bach. We are also pleased to arrange a grocery order for you if you give us a list. In addition, there is Welsh butter, cheese, yogurt, honey and organic meat - if you decide to BUY LOCAL.
