WHERE TO VISIT
Centrally situated, Park Farm Barns and surrounding countryside offer visitors a unique opportunity to taste the splendour of our rural countryside, whether by car, on bicycle, or simply walking the quiet lanes take in the peace and tranquillity of Norfolk life.
Historically, the area was of great significance, with Norwich being the country's second city and a thriving trading port for medieval Northern Europe. This period has endowed the county with some fine trappings, the wealth gained including grand houses, ornate gardens and lots of interesting market towns and hamlets.
For the naturalist, the area is home to a wide variety of birds, wild flowers, forest and woodland animals all within a hours drive from Hingham.
Visit the North Norfolk Coastline, the famous Norfolk Broads, the fine city of Norwich, and an Ornithologist's paradise that is Breckland
For the sporting enthusiast there are a number of interesting and challenging golf courses as well as well stocked fishing lakes for the coarse fisherman. Tucked away in Thetford forest you can drive over cars with army tanks or play paintball games.
For the Gastronome there are also many fine dining places in the area, from Michelin Star restaurants to good food guide pubs and some well respected vineyards producing fine wines, the county boasts lots of quality eating and drinking.

Park Farm Barn:
Sleeping 12, Park Farm Barn is a fine example of how to create a modern living space whilst retaining the traditional character of an 18th century building.
With extensive views, past an enclosed pond stocked with Koi Carp, to rural arable farmland Park Farm Barn provides a tranquil setting.
Featuring exposed timbers along with fitted ash hardwood floors and doors throughout.
Park Farm Pond Barn:
Sleeping 5, Park Farm Pond Barn adjacent to the main barn offering either totally separate accommodation or a "Senior Retreat" from the main barn complex
The Ground floor is tastefully finished with ash hardwood floors and exposed timbers,
Tastefully decorated throughout both barns offer a high level of peace & tranquillity
Woodrising Carp lake:
A mature 2.5acre lake nestling alongside the River Blackwater, within ancient water meadows.
Grazed by cattle in the summer, the lake is home to a variety of both local and migratory birds and wildlife. During the summer evenings we are privileged to watch barn owls hunting for food.
Stocked with both Common & Mirror Carp, Tench, Roach and Bream. With Carp topping 25lbs, Tench over 10lbs and bream to 5lbs the lake offers a rewarding challenge to both experienced and novice fishermen.
The lake includes three islands, with depths varying from 5 -12 feet surrounded by mature trees offering cover and shade around the lake.
For the serious session Carp fisherman we have a touring site for 5 caravans complete with mains water and Chemical toilet facilities .
Night fishing is allowed on this lake
