With 1, 3 and 6 day courses you can learn the art of fly fishing. Whether you are a beginner or advanced you can benefit from tailored tuition with advanced courses including Spey casting, roll casting and overhead casting held on the River Tay, the Spey and River Tweed. You will learn how to set up the rod, which line and flies to use, fishing knots used, where the fish are likely to be lying and how to safely wade the river. Bank or boat fishing is available for trout.
Private transport, picnic lunch, equipment including double or single handed fishing rods, reels, lines and permits are included in your trip. En-suite bed and breakfast accommodation and evening meals are provided with 3 and 6 day salmon and trout fishing breaks. You just need to bring warm clothing and waders which can be hired.
For a Guided fishing trip in South East Scotland on the River Annan and Tweed, you can choose from an hour, half day, full day or 2 or 3 day courses. Whether you are a complete beginner or experienced individual or group you can learn to cast a single Spey and double Spey on the rivers Annan, Nith and the Tweed with a qualified instructor.
Guided fly fishing holidays for salmon, sea trout, wild brown trout and grayling are also available. There's a casting clinic for trout fishers to help you correct bad casting habits and find your faults. All the tackle you need will be provided including rods, reels, lines, flies and waders. We specialise in sea trout fishing at night meeting you before dark to check your abilities and give you a safety talk.
For visitors to Scotland who are unsure of what to see a do, our private coach tours are perfect. The 3 and 6 day tours pick you up from Edinburgh airport or Waverley Railway Station returning you to your pick up point so you can catch your transport home. You choose the standard of accommodation you would like during your stay. Themed tours include the Malt Whisky tour, historical tour of castles and monuments and the scenic tour of the Scottish scenery. The Big Five tour is very popular giving you a taste of everything including views of Glen Affric, Loch Ness, Loch Lomond, West Coast towns of Oban and the Isle of Skye and trips to Balmoral and Stirling castles. The Big Five 3 day tour starts from just £360 per person.
1, 3 and 6 day distillery tours can also be arranged for large and small groups and corporate trips. Picking you up from Edinburgh or somewhere else in Scotland with plenty of notice, you can select which distilleries you would like to visit. The 3 and 6 day tours not only include the whisky distilleries but historical and scenic sites en-route. If there is anything you would like to change it is possible to do so on the tour as long as it doesn't affect accommodation or whisky distillery bookings.
Take a pleasure cruise on the Moray Firth with a private charter boat based in Banff, North East Scotland. Whether you'd like to go dolphin and whale spotting, bird watching or enjoy a sea fishing trip for small groups, families or a romantic cruise you can enjoy 1, 2 and 3 hour trips to all day cruises. The boat can take up to 5 guests and you decide what you'd like to do. Life jackets including a children's life raft are included for your safety. Cruises are from £18 per head and fishing trips from £15 per head.
If you are looking for places to stay in Scotland, there is a self catering cottage in Pitlochry, Perthshire ideally located for fishing, shooting, walking, cycling, stalking, Munro bagging and relaxing. The cottage will sleep up to 6 in three bedrooms with well equipped kitchen, open log fire in the lounge and internet access. Located next to the River Gaur you can enjoy bank and boat fishing on two rivers and four lochs with brown and rainbow trout and large pike. You will need to bring your own rods and tackle. Our rates are £500-£620 per week. There are additional costs for fishing, stalking and shooting.
