The lavender farm has almost 100 acres of lavender under cultivation within the gardens and a must see if you're on the West Coast of Norfolk. The attraction is open all year round with the lavender in bloom during the summer with guided tours of the lavender distillery to show how the oil is produced that goes into the world famous perfume and toiletries. From the gift shop you can purchase many products made with the farm's lavender oil and much more.
Explore the 4 acres of field grown lavender, large gardens and grounds showing the different uses of lavender with paths connecting the planted borders, fields and maze plus a collection of over 50 varieties of bamboo.
Take a bit of Norfolk Lavender home with you with a range of rare and unusual lavenders, herbs, and specialist plants and more available to buy in the Plant Centre. View over 55 varieties of herbs in the gardens which you can touch and smell and the National Collection of Lavenders in planted beds helping you pick the right ones for your garden.
If you're in need of some refreshments, the Lavender Kitchen Restaurant is open all year from 9am. There are cakes, scones, cream teas, tea, coffee, light snacks, Panini's and sandwiches as well as hot dishes cooked to order and a roast on Sunday's. There's fresh food available from the Walsingham Farm Shops with meat pies, pasties, quiches, fresh soups, sauces, fish cakes, casseroles, cakes and puddings.
For the children there is a play area with sandpit and in summer a maize maze for kids of all ages. For children aged 0-12 there's an indoor soft play centre at Farmer Fred's Adventure Play Barn with a maze of tunnels, slides, rope swings, walkways and bridges. Both adults and children will enjoy the Rare Breeds & Animal Centre with Alpacas, Wallabies and Miniature African Zebu to rare poultry, pigs, goats and more.
