PRICKLY BALL FARM and HEDGEHOG HOSPITAL rescue about 200 Hedgehogs per year, with the aim of releasing them back into the wild when they have fully recovered. By visiting the farm you are helping to support the Hospital so we can carry on this rewarding work. During the day we hold “meet the Hedgehog” sessions where you can meet a Hedgehog up close and ask any questions you have about Hedgehogs, we also run an educational video Presentation throughout the day which shows you how make you garden more wildlife friendly and what sort of work we do here at the Hospital.

The Big Barn has Miniature Ponies, Goats, Lambs, a Dexter Steer and a Donkey. We offer Pony and Cart rides; Lamb feeding (in season), Goat walking and you can groom one of our Ponies or watch the degus and chipmunks flying around in their very large enclosure.

In Pets Corner you can cuddle any of our many furry pet animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, mice and gerbils to name a few. For 2007 you will be able to walk a Ferret, support your favourite goat during goat racing and see all our baby animals in the new nursery. Our Café offers a wide variety of hot and cold snacks or you can bring you own picnic and sit out on our wildlife garden decking enjoying magnificent panoramic views out to Dartmoor. We also have a well stocked gift shop for all those hoggie gifts so you're bound to find something to add to your collection.

Come as many times as you like the last admission does not apply so you can even pop in on your way home from school!
