Dereham trains 9.30am to 5pm.
Wymondham trains 10.30am to 4pm[last round trip].
2 demonstration freight trains will run from Dereham at 12.15pm and 3.50pm, return from Wymondham at 1.20pm and 5pm.

Running through the picturesque central Norfolk countryside, Mid-Norfolk Railway owns and has restored 17.5 miles of track and trackbed from the market town of Dereham to Wymondham. Run by volunteers there are passenger services, commercial freight trains and railtours with locomotives and fleet of heritage diesel locos. A summer steam visitor will be Gt Western Railway designed Pannier Tank 9466.
The headquarters of Mid-Norfolk Railway are situated at Dereham Station close to the town centre with shop, tea room and museum. There's a large free car park and toilets. Wymondham Abbey is a mile and a half from the town centre and where most of the trains end their journey. The watermeadows nearby provide pleasant walks.
Photographers are very welcome with accessible locations for great shots at various stations, bridges and level crossings.
If you're looking for a place to hold a function or party then MNR could be for you. The train may be decorated for your arrival and pre-booking a specially reserved carriage may include a discount. We have fully qualified catering staff able to provide refreshments, catering to any special dietary requirements with notice.
Special packages are also available for coach trips including a Two Rivers Cruise with a guided journey on the railway followed by a cruise down the Wensum and Yare Rivers. It includes lunch at Dereham Station and unlimited tea/coffee and biscuits during the cruise. Perhaps you'd refer the Water Gardens and nature trail with a day to visit Breckland and a chance to visit Swaffham. There's also a package for a train ride and stop at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse Museum of Norfolk Life – two of Breckland's biggest attractions.
If it has always been your dream to drive a train then there are a range of courses available to make that possible. With guidance from qualified instructors you can operate locomotives for at least 11 miles, be given a tour of the yard and the engine.
