Comment: Thank you for the compliment on the photo. I was hoping to show the grandeur of the archway by framing my wee one looking out to sea. I've been to quite a few castles in Scotland and this is one of my favourites as you can really get a sense of it's historical importance when you're there.

Comment: Well thank you! I couldn't ask for a more exciting and culturally diverse area to live near. There is so much to do in Edinburgh, North Berwick, Rosslyn etc and I'll be commenting on them all so please keep reading ;-)

Comment: I have visited Madame Tussaudes once about 5 years ago and it was brilliant! Your review has reminded me of that and we have a trip to London coming up so we'll have to take the kids. When I was in the 'garden party' area I bumped into what I believed to be a person, imagine my embarrassment when several 'real people' heard me apologise to a wax figure of Jean Paul Gautier!

Comment: Thank you for the detailed recommendation. We have been wanting to take our nearly 5 year old twins to a theme park but Alton Towers and Thorpe Park are too far away. I'd always wondered about M&D's so I think now I shall plan a trip for this summer, thank you!

Comment: Well I'm glad it brought back good memories, we're hoping our own children will have many happy memories of Portobello Beach as well. I suspect we'll be spending at least one day a week there for the last month before school resumes ;-)
