The county is surrounded by a dramatic and rugged coastline that in places gives way to small coves or great expanses of sand. Bustling towns and quiet villages with quaint harbours are found everywhere provide areas for over 94 million visitors each year. Newquay is a major resort and a surfer's paradise, while just up the coast Padstow has a number of quality restaurants which will satisfy the hungry diner.
Bodmin Moor has special qualities, graceful contours and clean tumbling streams a favourite place for ramblers. Exciting rides are available at many adventure and fun parks, one of the biggest being Flambards, which has white knuckle rides and much more. A number of facilities also provide quad bikes and karting tracks to provide exhilaration for thrill seekers.
Always a favourite with artists, the county has many galleries including the Tate at St Ives. The Minack, an open air theatre is also well attended and puts on plays and musicals throughout the year.
Western-Super-Mare is the largest resort with great amusements and family entertainment. Sandy beaches can be found all along the Somerset coast; Brean and Dunster are highly recommended. To cap it all, Cornwall has one of top attraction in the country. The Eden Project, it is spectacular and attracts gardening enthusiasts from all over the world.
