Ireland is filled with history. Numerous galleries and castles hold reminders of the past and The Celtic Theme Park and Gardens have captured 12 of Ireland's historical features.
The River Shannon is Ireland's longest waterway making it ideal for fishing or even taking a cruise. Walking is a great leisure pursuit in this country – it lets you discover the landscape and The Kerry Way is one of Ireland's most popular trails walking through the mountain ranges. There are walks for people of all abilities and it provides some remarkable views over Cork and Kerry.
Dublin, Ireland's capital city is full of culture and entertainment. There is old Georgian and modern architecture but the nightlife is full of activity with traditional Irish pubs or very trendy bars. The area is ideal for live music from Jazz to Irish. The kids will enjoy a trip to Dublin Zoo or the Butterfly House. The award winning Dalkey Castle and Heritage Centre is perfect for tourists found at the south of Dublin Bay.
Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, the coastal areas of Ireland have clean beaches, great accommodation and some great places to get a bite to eat. Kenmare has walking festivals but the Bay provides numerous water activities for enjoyment. It is also a great shopping town with lots of craft shops.
